2017 certainly seems to be the year of pastels. You can expect to start seeing more of those sugary-sweet pastel colours gracing everything from clothes to garden pots. One of our favourites is the new limited edition Straight Up pots in pastels from The Balcony Garden. Why we’re loving these? The connection between home and garden…Details

Sandstone is a timeless material that never ages. While it’s often used as the go-to material for formal and stately homes, we love using sandstone on contemporary projects. The natural organic feeling of sandstone is a beautiful contrast to the clean lines, rendered walls and minimalist feel on contemporary design. …Details

One of our favourite small shrubs, which is actually a succulent, is Kalanchoe Silver Spoons. This hardy plant is perfect for both pots and garden beds. The beautiful silvery foliage contrasts perfectly with a rich green background.

We’re a big fan of using plants in ways they weren’t intended for, such as these stunning pleached Quondongs – Eleocarpus eumundii. Pleaching is the process of removing the branches and foliage from the main stem to create a bare trunk, leaving a lovely ‘mop top’ affect. These Quondong which are normally used as a…Details

A plant we’re loving right now is the Agave ‘Blue Glow’. It’s is a cross between Agave attenuata and Agave ocahui. This stunning Agave grows to 60cm tall and wide, with wide green-blue leaves. The ‘Blue Glow’ works great in pots and planters.
One of the most commonly requested items from our clients is an outdoor kitchen and BBQ. Fortunately the days of the old brick BBQ positioned in the far corner of the garden are behind us.
